Although by living in Austria someone has access to some of the finest grayling waters in Europe (Salza Gschoeder river, Traun, Steyr, etc), the stories we here most are about capital grayling caught every year in Lappland. We have been planing a trip to Lappland and with our group we starter exploring the possibility to travel in June/July 2012. Austrian waters are rich with grayling, but you rarely catch capital species.

I was first introduced to troutfishing when I was 12 years old. After spending our holidays in Denmark, my parents decided that we should try Sweden. They had found a place called Hökensås, with several lakes, stocked with rainbow trout.

The name of our country, The Netherlands, literally means the Low Lands. Most off our land lies below sea level and thus we do not have typical streams that flow through the landscape. Our country is like a delta formed by the great rivers flowing out from the alps en Ardennes.

Some 10 years ago I met a friend who was fishing at a lake at here in Denmark at the same time as me. It was raining cats and dogs, and we sat down under our trunks of the cars for a coffee and a fish talk.
